I can kinda sorta cook...?

Mmmmm food. How I love thee. You make me happy. I am so heppeh (think Robin Hood Men in Tights).

I used to think I was the worst cook ever. But THATS NOT TRUE! Thank God for That! Haha. I never cooked at all untill recently. It all started last summer. My mum wasn't home a lot due to unfortunate circumstances so we had to deal with our own food. Which was ok. Most of the time (untill we got broke) we'd eat out. But after awhile we decided to cook. My brother can cook FANTASTIC food so its all great when he's home. But when it's just me and Di. We're in trouble. And I usually like to pick specific dishes to eat i.e Lasagna of which I know how to make now, Spaghetti Bolognaise, and My favourite chinese style fried chicken. SO GOOD.

So beginning of last summer, I began to enjoy the art of cooking. I'm not a master yet. But I am slowly trying. I'm not exactly the type to invent my own food yet cause I'm afraid of messing it up. But let me just say you will never go wrong with Onions and Garlic. They make everything taste good. Especially garlic. Hehe.

Tonight, I made spaghetti marinara. Something I've been craving FOR AGES. Oh man, SO GOOD. Especially if you're a fan of seafood. I am!

But in reality, I'm missing home food. It'll never be the same. "two more months Naz!". Oh how I'm longing to eat Nasi Lemak, Nasi Briyani, Nasi Ayam, Malaysian wedding food...the list can go on. I'm glad I'm going home even though i'm TOTALLY bummed I'm not staying for summer. It would have been fun too. Oh well.

If I get into cluster next year with Kristin, Brian and Steve, IT WILL BE INSANE. I am worried though. Not about Kristin and Brian. But about Steve. His room IS A MESS. Ergh. Yuck. Haha. BUT on the good side, HE HAS COUNTER STRIKE. Muahaha. I'm horrible. As long as he keeps the mess in his room I'm good.

I have an Anthropology exam tomorrow of which I know I won't do well in. Yippee! So I guess I'll go for now and attempt to study.

My Spaghetti Marinara Sauce - Looks can be deceiving ITS SO GOOD

UGH

I had to change my address to avoid the ultimate stalker. I hope he doesn't find me anymore. If he does then i'll just have to keep CHANGING my address. It's all good. Its not like a trillion people are reading this. I can count with one hand who would be reading my blog. Frankly, I don't care.

Anyways, shit. Its sunday. The very last day of reading break and i have done no progress whatsoever. Okay maybe I have done some. Like finished my lab with jenn! Good on you Naz. But other than that. NADA.

I bought a crappy digital camera today. It cost me 20 dollars! HO YEAH. Its one of those PC cameras cum digital camera CUM IN YOUR FACE camera. I couldn't help but say it. It's really a piece of crap. But I bought it to cheer me up. And besides. It works as a webcam too so now I have two! (CAMWHORE ALERT!)

Other than that I've been laying in bed attempting to study for anthropology. Unfortunately I can merely reach the second page when I read the book. Yikes. So overall it has definetly been a damn good Sunday.

Yesterday, me and heidi and kieran (I don't know how to spell her name) went out. We needed it. Noodle Box as usual. I had my usual. It was one of those days where you just want the usual. And a movie after which was good. The Matador. Pierce Brosnan. Seen it yet? It's not bad really. I enjoyed it. It was Pierce Brosnan like you've never seen him. So funny.

This reading break has been, interesting. Camping would have to be the highlight. I looked at the important things I have to do for March and its going to be unpleasant. "Two more months Naz and you'll be home" is what I keep telling myself. My only motivation really.

I'm staying away from this particular person at the moment. I'm sure he's still pissed off at me for deflating his ego. I mean, one minute I say I like him and then I tell him it's a prank? Wow. I am definetly not a nice person. So I decided I'll just leave him alone untill he cools down and decides to talk to me. If he reads this I just want to say, Sorry?

Okay I think it's time to stop writing cause my tummy is rumbling.

The Quality of My $20 Camera

What kind of skills do you have?

Its amazing how one can pretend to be something their not. Hide their true insides to portray a certain character. Its called acting. Some are amazing at it and some are bad. I must say, I've been blessed. Blessed? Yes, acting is a talent. A good talent but also a bad talent. A talent that can confuse one. A talent that can make one almost believe that they ARE that character when deep down they're really not. Some people act a certain way to blend in with others. Some people act as an outcast to be looked at differently.

This blog is an apology.

I'm sorry. You know who you are. I know you're mad at me. I'm an evil bitch. But all those things i said. Half were probably true. You'll never know. It doesn't matter anyway.

I'm sorry.

Music : Finger Lickin' Good

I love music. I find that different songs have the power to change my mind, mood and feelings. I love it. The kind of music I like to listen to really can't be put into just one genre.

One could say I like ALL genres. You should know by now I like keroncong. I also LOVE gamelan. And then suddenly I could listen to rock. I think I like all rock music. Be it Hardcore, Alternative, Punk, Post-Rock, Emo etc. Seriously, I am pretty much open to anything.

And then of course. HOUSE. This is yeah. Definetly on my top 10 list of favourite genres.

House Music! One of the best things that ever happened to me. My favourite DJs would have to be Bob Sinclair, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Robert Owens, Jesse Saunders, Dimitri from Paris! and lots more. Oh house music, I thank the Lord for bringing it down to us. It's truly fucking amazing.

Besides House, Jazz (ANY KIND) would also be in my top 10. I don't know why I just love Jazz. Especially the older stuff like the Big Band Era. Some personal favourites are Fats Waller, Bunny Berrigan, Chet Baker, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Art Tatum, and the list could go longer. A LOT longer.

Then there's Ambiance music. Trip Hop. Good shit I must say.

I'm looking at my Winamp Playlist and I see that my "Nazzy Likes To Sleep With This" playlist is varied from hawaiian feel to jazz to R&B to gamelan to sufi music to trip hop to classical to african beats. Wow Naz. You DO like range. Hehe.

HipHop. Not ENTIRELY fond of. But I can't lie I enjoy it. I mean, hey! It's good grinding music isn't it? Haha. Although, I can't stand the fact that clubs in Victoria MOSTLY play God Damn Hiphop or like they say TOP 40s. Is Hiphop the ONLY thing on the list?

Indie. I have a special paragraph for you. Why? Well, somehow Indie music inspires me to write my script. I'd sit in front of my laptop cranking some Stars, Apostle of Hustle, Minus the Bears, Couple, Snow Patrol etc. and write away my story. I love it.

Italian Opera. Chinese Opera. YES I LIKE THE OPERA. Reminds me of the past. Not that i've been alive that long. But I definetly appreciate the Opera.

Oh yeah! PUTUMAYO. Have you guys heard of them? They're motto is something like "Guranteed to make you feel good". Hell yeah it does. It's like a record company that makes a compilation of music from all over the world from different artists. They have albums called Music from the Tea Lands, Music from the Coffee Lands, Brazillian Groove etc. I have yet to collect ALL of them but I definetly have a damn good collection. Guranteed to make me feel good.

I especially have to dedicate a paragraph to Bossanova. Oh man, I love it so much. Makes me want to be Brazillian! Sergio Mendez, Cartola, Stan Getz, Joao Gilberto, Ono Lisa, Jose Briamonte and many more. Hehe. And in this paragraph I'd like to include Cuban as well. Ho yeah. Buena Vista Social Club. SO GOOD. Some of my favourites are Tito Puente and of course, Ibrahim Ferrer R.I.P. My favourite song from him was Bruca Manigua. Oh man, I'm listening to it right now. FANTABULOUS.

How can I forget Reggae? Yeah Bob Marley! hehe. I love Jamaican music too. Don't really know too much of it. I mean the minute I think Reggae its Bob Marley that pops into my head. I guess it wouldn't be fair to other Reggae artists. Maybe I could be reccomended of some.

Classical! Personal favourites are Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, and Offenbach.

Pop? Well, I mean, who doesn't listen to Pop? These days everything IS POP if you belong to the Pop culture. And what doesn't belong to the pop culture if its being consumed by the mass? Hmm? Like Britney Spears? HEY I think she's got SOME talent. Her music is always catchy. And then Christina Aguilera, her arch enemy. She has a better voice for sure. But she doesn't appeal to me more than Britney. Hehe. Justin Timberlake. I hate him with a passion. But I can't lie his music is pretty darn catchy. Gah!

RnB! This is good fuck music. LITERALLY. haha. I mean listen to the lyrics! hehehe. that tickles me.

Oh and ANY artist from the 50s, 60s, 70s eras are definetly something I can appreciate. Especially the 60s and 70s. 50s were good but they were a little too clean for me. Hehe.

80s! an era I USED TO HATE SO MUCH! really, the fashion was horrendous. I mean SOME were cool but the shoulder pads? I have broad shoulders for a girl already so NO WAY I would have embraced that fashion unless I was interested in playing American Football. But the music? Well, I have grown to appreciate it quite a bit since I came to Canada. It seems a lot of people here still likes the 80s. God knows why. Like the movie Napoleon Dynamite. If you're stuck in a small town chances are you like 80s music. hehe.

But then, truly, what era do I belong to? THE 90s BABY! Granted, the fashion of the 90s was erm, lazy? I mean baggy pants and and baggy t shirts? Hello? But I cannot judge the 90s cause this is the time where I grew up. And I love it. Enough said.

Out of my 6575 (and counting) songs I could probably conclude to say that although its only 6000+ my range of music is most definetly wide. See, I have favourite artists. But, I prefer concentrating on genres. That way you get every section of every kind of music. I mean, if you know how to appreciate it, you learn more about other cultures and learn their history of how that kind of music came to be. Music has the power to unite or change people's perspectives. Well, THATS IF you take it as seriously as I do. Hehe.

I can't wait to live all over the world and learn about other cultures. It will be fantastic. For now, university is where its at.

Ciao!

LOSERS SAY : Faez

Haha. What do you think about that title? I love it.

The story behind it is that I love arguing my way and winning and if i lose, eh, wait, I DON'T LOSE! never! so Faez, you lost. Loser!

Hehe. I'm being cheeky.

Anyways, tonight should be FUN. I'm babysitting "O" my landlady's son. Oh yeah, this will be SOME joy. Why? Well, the fact that he's quite a perv for a five year old worries me when he turns sixteen. But maybe I'm paranoid. Maybe all five year olds enjoy looking at boobs and asses and say that they want to get naked with you. MAYBE.

I don't remember doing that as a child though. When I was a kid, haha. Well, my brother was a tyrant. He was satan and would bully me and my sister. Corner me into a cupboard and punch me in the stomach. Play crazy catching with my sister causing her to bump into the edge of the bed and bleed and had to get stitches. Call me stupid because I didn't know what five times five was. Hey! I was in kindergarden and he was in grade 2! I guess he did all this mostly cause he was jealous at the fact that all MY friends were the girls he had crushes on such as "D". Haha. Poor jealous fatty. Yes, he was uber fat in the past. Hehe. I'm evil.

But things have changed now. Raz and I are closer than ever. So it's all good. I think by the time he hit high school he realized I was a good tool to use when he wanted to phone a girl's house. See, the girls he liked had strict parents who get angry when a boy calls. So I, being a girl, was used to pretend to be his crushes "friend" so the parents wouldn't get mad. WEIRD EH? Haha. I'd be like "hello, boleh cakap dengan 'a'?" and the parent or the protective abang would be like, oh it's a girl. ok! haha. It was pretty damn funny.

It's amazing how time flies. I can't believe Di has finished school! Damn. She'll be getting her SPM results soon. I sure as hell hope she gets okay results. That child, truly talented yet, indecisive. Not exactly the smartest kid on the block, but definetly would make a better mother than me. Hehe. At least she can jahit and all that. Don't you ever ask me to do such things. I will probably send it to the kedai. Hehe.

I always say it. Raz is my driver and Di is my maid. Life ain't that bad as a middle child after all eh? People always say the middle child is neglected and lack of love bla bla bla. PLEASE. I love being the middle child. Fantastic! No worries No pressure. And in the end I get my way. ALWAYS. Yeeha.

I guess right about now you will have discovered I am the spoilt one in the family. Yes, it's true. Looking back I saw I got to go wherever I wanted and do pretty much whatever I wanted to do. Hehe.

But before I conclude to my spoiltness let me just say I am not as spoilt as one may think. I worked my ass to get where I am. So perhaps I get what I want but only because I worked for it.

See, my father isn't exactly the nicest man in the world. In fact, in many ways, he's far from that. God knows I love my father but he's strict when it comes to making the right decisions. He says I can do what I want but make sure I do it well and have a game plan. His dad was the chief Police of Sabah at one point. And so he lived the life where everything had to be precisely organized the way it should be and no terkedek-kedek nonsense should happen. Hence, when my sister doesn't exactly have a game plan of what she wants to do in life, he doubts her completely. It's sucky. I had to create a fucking proposal of a budget sheet and all that shit when I was coming to Canada. He's a charted accountant too. So double the organizeness. Yet, HE'S NOT THAT ORGANIZED HIMSELF.

I must say, It's my mum who makes my dad organized. She is the backbone of the family. God, I love her so much. She's the person I'd turn to when I'm sick. Because she's the only one who can manjakan me the way I want to be manja'd. Well, actually my sister is learning well. She''s more like my mother than I am. But yeah, when I am sick, I am so mengada. And i'd be in so much pain. Like I suddenly morph into a five year old. But thank God, I don't get sick often. So, it is rare for me to be all manja to my mum or when she's not around, my sister. Hehe. Most of the time my mum and i have conversations about life, family, friends, economics, everything. My mother, despite not finishing university, is definetly a knowledgable woman.

Wow. This post has become an entire talk about my family. Should I rename this title post? NO. Hehe.

The point in the end, is that, No Faez! You'll never win. I just wanted you to sleep that's why i ended the conversation. Really, you nak battle? BAKK DATANG WEEEYY. hahahahaha. Anytime Baby!

Ku Pulang Dari Sesi Berkhemah

Hi semua! saya dah balik dari berkhemah! Ewah maniss! hehe. Yes I still nak tulis in BM sebab mana tahu si Gila tu still baca and nak mengkomen-komen my blog kan? MUAHAHAHHA.

Anyways, wah penat sial camping. dah la busuk. tapi yang best is that its sejuk and that is SO IMPORTANT to me. sebab i suka sejuk! lagi sejuk lagi best! my kengkawan kat sini tak percaya that I ni from Malaysia tapi suka pakai t-shirt ngan sandals masa winter! ho yeah! gangsta baby! hehe.

For now, my ibu jari kaki is biru. I think sebab my kasut was so tight (i pinjam from my friend sebab I takde kasut yang i want to ruin). So now I think i kena gi doctor and amputate it or something! mana i tau!!! argh i'm scared. :(

Benda yang i suka about camping in Canada?
1) Sejuk
2) Takde Nyamuk
3) SMORES
4) Fantastic views
5) New kawans

Benda yang i TAK suka?
1) Tak mandi EEEEWWWW
2) TANDAS lubang! takut!

So yeah. If i had proper equipment probably i lagi suka but then i will NEVER EVER camp kat Malaysia. Why? Sebab tak sejuk. Ada nyamuk. Dan lain-lain.

Akan ku meletak gambar soon. When I get some!

SO TRUE except for the career bit!

Your Personality Is

Rational (NT)

You are both logical and creative. You are full of ideas.

You are so rational that you analyze everything. This drives people a little crazy!

Intelligence is important to you. You always like to be around smart people.

In fact, you're often a little short with people who don't impress you mentally.

You seem distant to some - but it's usually because you're deep in thought.

Those who understand you best are fellow Rationals.

In love, you tend to approach things with logic. You seek a compatible mate - who is also very intelligent.

At work, you tend to gravitate toward idea building careers - like programming, medicine, or academia.

With others, you are very honest and direct. People often can't take your criticism well.

As far as your looks go, you're coasting on what you were born with. You think fashion is silly.

On weekends, you spend most of your time thinking, experimenting with new ideas, or learning new things.

The Manglish Post

Kali ni, (or maybe for the rest of the month) I am going to tulis in Melayu campur English sebab ada si pukimak lancau yang I tak kenal asyik baca my benda alah and then kaki menyibuk habis! Tak selesa SIAL! Ada dia cakap I ngan faez adik beradik? EEEEEHHH!! haha. tolong sikit. hehe. apaper hal mamat yang sibuk tu, SIBUK SIAL! haha.

Uish sekarang ni I tengah semangat gila layan keroncong and lagu-lagu hits melayu. Hehe. Stok layan lagu Bengawan Solo. Oh God lagu tu layan sial. Sumpah when I layan keroncong terus morph into rumah Tok Man and Tok Zain. And I can see them stok cam, duduk-duduk, minum teh or kopi melayu and humming softly "daaaaa diiii diii diiii". Hehe. Only me Raz and Di will understand. Oh, sungguh nostalgic.

Kalau you still tak tahu I ni memang kaki nostalgia. I still say I was born in the wrong era. I suka gila lepak kat this kafe cina kat belakang Petaling Street. It's so classic. But then again kan, I guess, kira I'm lucky sebab I get to appreciate a wider variety kan.

I really wished I boleh tulis in BM better. Seriously I kureng gila when it comes to my Bahasa. Macamana nak jadi ANAK WAWASAN 2020? hehe. Dulu I never gave a shit pasal my negara and then bila you go overseas, belajar pasal culture lain, you look back at your ibu pertiwi and you're like, how can i not love it? Everything. Segala-galanya baby! hehe.

You know what? lepas ni, I rasa I dah taknak kasi just ANYONE boleh tulis kat my comment tu. Tapi this makes me bengang gila. Ish. PUKIMAAAAKKK!!

Entah la.

Oh yeah! Hari ni kat SEA 201B my cikgu introduced to the class the influences of music dalam zaman nationalism kat indonesia and all over South East Asia or something like that. Lagu Bengawan Solo specifically, which was a famous keroncong song during the WW2, is actually popular all over south east asia. No joke. And lagu tu is in beraneka jenis language! cool kan?

So lagu ni jadi popular masa tu sebab :

a) Liriks dia

Bengawan solo, riwayatmu ini
sedari dulu jadi perhatian insani
musim kemarau, tak seberapa airmu
di musim hujan air meluap sampai jauh .
mata airmu dari solo
terkurung gunung seribu
air mengalir sampai jauh
akhirnya ke laut ......
itu perahu, riwayatmu dulu
kaum pedagang s'lalu naik itu perahu

As you can see, dia pasal this river kat Indo and how throughout all the historical shit that happened the river was there the whole time to witness it. And the river is significant sebab it was used a lot by the pedagangs. So its always been important. I think the lyrics actually is more significant than that. But I tengah malas nak type panjang so you go figure la. Hint : Nationalism, Colonialism perhaps?

b) Keroncong is so macam, haish, like when you dengar you rasa macam you pandang jauh kat tepi pantai thinking about the past. At least thats what I think. And by the way keroncong is actually Portugese influenced. I mean, the instruments la. Ukelele ke apa entah. Look up on it if you nak tahu sangat.

c) Because of the Japanese occupation. Everything was "Asia untuk Asia" (HISTORY CLASS BABY!) and because of this Keroncong was more played because they allowed it. Kan all the lagu Mat saleh was eliminated so it helped popularize this song even more. Dah la pretty much the entire South East Asia was taken over by them. And you know how it works, kalau dah been taken over by the same people the chances are you will be learning the same shit. Or perhaps, Same shit different style.

Contohnya, ada this mamat Indo who was on a flight in a Burmese plane and he heard a Burmese stewardess humming the tune. Lepas tu, he tanya la, mana you dengar lagu tu? And then she was like oh I think its a Burmese folk song. And then lagu ni, kalau you look up in Japan is called Bungawan Soro. The Japanese army who were stationed in Solo actually liked it and brought it back to Japan tu! And there is also an English version of it sang by a woman from Hong Kong too!

Padahal the real person who wrote the song was an Indonesian man. Nama dia Gesang Martohartono. Ingat tau! Hehe.

So lagu ni shows how because of the WW2 and Japanese occupation, the people of SEA will sentiasa share a commonality of which I think is fucking cool. I suka! hehe.

Although, nowadays, I rasa cam, the youth dah tak kisah pasal history. Or maybe I'm wrong. I hope they do. Sebab it helps you be more aware about why our negara is the way it is today. Duh! Itu kalau korang tak tahu fail! Haha.

Anyways, I dah tulis panjang gak ah. Hopefully you guys faham apa I cakap. Actually I tak kisah kalau you tak faham. If you're my real friend you will faham cause you've talked to me and know how i talk. hehe.

Selamat Malam!

For Faez

This post is for Faez and how he revolves around my life.

For those of you who have no idea who he is. Well, here's a picture. That's him and some AWESOME HOT girl I don't know. Hehe. Isn't he so ADORABLE? no! haha. His brother Fawaz is probably cuter I think. Muahaha.

Anyways. You're probably wondering why am I writing about Faez? Well cause he's so fun to bully. I adore taking the mickey out of him because i always win. Muahaha. And today is just one of those days where I want to talk about him and his silliness. Hehe.

Oh Faez, I promised I won't insult you. AND I WON'T. I don't insult you do I? Hehe.

The thing about this boy is that you can't quite figure him out at times. I sometimes worry that he's going to drive really fast one day and crash it into a wall cause he thinks NOBODY cares. WELL I DO so DON'T YOU DARE BITCH!

We met out of coincidence really. FRIENDSTER. He was in KL and doing BAD STUFF. He was such a naughty boy back then. Horrible. But not anymore cause he had to move. I think he didn't like the change but I think it did him good.

Sometimes I wonder what is the matter with him. Like, why is he so skinny? Haha. Seriously if he were buff SO MANY girls will pengsan man. He's got REAL green eyes girls! woohoo! It's not everyday you find a Melayu with real green eyes.

Anyways. He's currently working in the Middle East. I'm not giving specific details but i'm proud of where he is today. SO GOOD! You will make some Middle Eastern girl (or a hooker if he wants :P) happy! Haha.

I am out of words for him except these few key words that will remind me of him: Stevie Wonder. "ko cek kocek kanan ko". YM = GAY. and of course The Godfather.

Hehe. I hope I get to see him over summer cause I SO MISS HIM! He's so fun to bully it makes me happy! Don't tell anybody yeah?

Ciao!

The EMO Post. Be Warned.

I had my last midterm before the reading break starts today. Woohoo! Now I can catch up on the copious amounts of readings that I have. God damn it! God damn it to hell! Hehe. I'm dead tired so I might just keep this short.

I watched a play called Top Girls with Margy today too. I couldn't quite focus because they were talking too much at the same time and I know it was meant to be like that but I was dead knackered. Seriously. I was ready to snore like a bitch in that room.

I liked the storyline though. Set in the 80s during the time Margaret Thatcher was in charge. This 30 something girl gets promoted as an executive and decided to throw a dinner party inviting different women from different eras that played significant roles during their era. When I read the synopsis on the pamphlet I was like WHAT? wow. Weird. How are they still alive? hehe.

It turned out clever though. These people were in fact, dead. They did the makeup obvious enough to signify they had died. They didn't look ghastly yet, you somehow got it. Oh and then Margy pointed out something I actually didn't notice. Everything on the set was either black, white or red. I thought that was fascinating. The lives of each women in this story seemed sad in different ways. Maybe the colors were supposed to represent how they had happy(white) and sad(black) times but at the end of the day the red represented their bravery? I say this because the stories they told were about sacrifice and how they were brave enough to go through all this so. I don't know?

I'm thinking too much.

BUT My favourite (well, sad) part was the story on the 30 something girl. How she had a fallout with her sister and in the end her sister didn't want to have anything to do with her anymore because she (the 30 something girl) was selfish ever since she was a child. Long story. The point is : I am so afraid me and my siblings will have a fallout in the future. I couldn't bare it. I really couldn't. I almost want to cry when i think of them not being in my life.

WOW That was EMO. Hey! Okay I admit it! I heart me but i heart me family too. LOTS. This entry is dedicated to the family.

You guys rock my world. Always!

My Parents

The coolest siblings one could ask for and the sleeping parents in the background

maltesers

I had my SEA 201b midterms today. It was, rather easy but also hard. I somehow didn't feel like writing. I get like that sometimes. Especially when I don't have the right pen. I hate blue pens. Especially those cheap sleazy skinny ones that hurt my hands after 30 minutes of writing non stop.

So because the pen was hurting my hand i couldn't really think straight even though i knew most of the answers. Boy it feels good to know stuff. Unlike my other courses where I stare blankly and not know what I'm writing.

I still have another midterm tomorrow. CSC 100. COMPUTER SCIENCE for the illiterate. hehe. Okay I underestimated this course. It is easy but there's a lot of nitty gritty to it. Labs, Lab assignments, Clickers, and of course MARY SANSVERINO! Oh man, I swear she's on some sort of hyper pill. But I love it. It feels like she's about to break into song! I can almost imagine the entire class doing a robotic (think Revenge of the Nerds) dance routine and Mary will be right there in the middle of it leading the pack! woohoo!

Anyways, I guess I won't write much. I have to study and i'm also really tired from pilates. How I love pilates. I discovered that I have lack of body balance. I think I could be nickname Ms. Wobblyboo in that class. Hehe. But its okay. I'm trying. I still have my aerobics streaptease to fall back on.

In the midst of all this health talk i'm actually devouring a whole bag of Maltesers to myself. HA. Some health freak. EH! I'm not a health freak! NEVAAARR!

Ciao!

This pic says it all doesn't it? Taken last year in RGC102 Ring Road Hall by Me.

Today is february 14th. you know what that means right? it's the lamest day on the planet. OH YES IT IS. hehe. Anyways. This blog isn't going to be about that lame day. I am going to discuss with you my script! yes!

Bet you're all eager to know what my movie is going to be about! So am I! So am i...:)

Well then, the reason I'm willing to give a short preview of my story is because i'm in the midst of losing inspiration. So maybe if i write this out, I'll figure out what I'm going to write about next.

The story is called : SMS

The reason I wrote about SMS is because if you notice, especially in KL we're all cheap bastards who would rather text message than call each other. Hey! I have nothing against it. I mean, it actually inspired me to write a movie script for goodness sake.

So the story would evolve around 5 different characters who are going through 5 different situations and in the midst of their lives the usage of text messaging always (naturally) seems to coincide with the things they go through. Mind you, some of these characters may not have anything to do with each other. Nonetheless the ending WILL FIT. I hope! hehe.

There. THATS ALL i'm going to talk about. And no, or maybe, hmm. Yes! I know what to write! I'm not that far into the movie anyway. But I will get there eventually. I don't know if I'll ever let anyone read it. If you get to read it I must really like and trust you.

Anyways. Enough about the movie.

It's actually 3am. So this blog will be continued...

my love for photography

I tried to get my digital camera fixed the other day. Mind you it's the world's not so great camera but i HAVE taken some damn good pictures with it. Thus, it is to conclude that it's not really the camera. It's the person. I have some of my art work posted on this art website actually.

http://nadzirahashim.deviantart.com

I haven't posted any new art work because i broke my camera. YES I BROKE IT. poor lame BENQ. It was a sad story really.

It was May 2005, I was in KL for summer. Oh so happy. Heading to my sister's dance group's party, me and my brother decided it would be fantastic to drink the leftover booze he had from his trip to Langkawi. VODKA VANILLA. EW. Vodka is disgusting enough. Vodka Vanilla? Some girl chose the bottle. THATS why they didn't finish it. Excuse me, Vodka Vanilla is disgustingly nasty. If you thought the word Vanilla would make it sound sweet and cute YOU WERE WRONG. Ergh.

Anyways, we didn't want to show up at a kid's party sober for it will be NOT FUN. So we sucked it up and finished the Vodka. It did its purpose though. We got there very happy! I mean, I actually arrived and walked down the steps and broke my shoe! Jesus, I felt like a typical teenage girl where she acts all rebellious and "cool" and ends up breaking her shoe. EW. I cringed. Haha. But whatever, it was a good thing my sister was performing so she had extra sandals. LUCKY ME!

So in the midst of all this drunkenness. I don't remember how and when. My camera fell. And its focus is now fuzzy. :(

ANYWAYS, the point of this story is that I went to this camera shop in Victoria. It wasn't exactly close to home cause I had to take two busses. And when I got there I had to deal with Mr. Not So Nice. He, of course scrutinized my camera with words like "Where is this made?", "They shouldn't even be making this" and "This is a toy camera!". Wow. I was like, OKAY UNIBROW! ERGH. I had to include that because it looked like a rainbow. I know thats mean but, he tore my camera into shreds. Insulting it! Hey fucker if I were rich I'd buy the world's most expensive camera but I'M NOT. So there.

So yeah, I need a new digital camera. I feel so lost without one. Raz has one at home in KL of which i know i can POW (steal) off him when i get home. But its not the same! I WANT MY OWN DIGITAL CAMERA! hehe. wow brat!

I guess I'll just have to save my money like every other person would do. Ergh. Less new clothes, shoes and sunglasses for a new digital camera. Alas, my love for photography is strong indeed.

Ciao!

down up, down up

I am currently obsessed with Carmen Electra's aerobics striptease video and would very much like to purchase the entire dvd set. oh Kristin, two more weeks and we'll learn to be strippers okay? hehe. while you're in Japan, don't forget to practice! hehe. Instead of studying the very serious POLITICAL SCIENCE i would rather want to learn how to be a stripper. What's wrong with this picture? nothing! haha.

Anyways, Faez if you're reading this I'd like you to know I'm VERY tempted to put my art work for you on my blog site. But today I saw a blind person and was like "Oh Lord I don't want no hitman killing you..." hehe. So no I will not put it up. But it's still my wallpaper! Muahaha.

Last night I wasn't expecting to go out but i managed to persuade Steve (WHO NEVER CLUBS) to go to Upstairs Cabaret. Haha. I bribed him though. I said i'd buy him drinks. Haha. Good one Naz! At least I got to see Kathleen though. Its been ages! Missed her so much! Kathleen's my only other Malaysian friend in UVic. She's from Penang. She's so fun! It was good to see her. And Upstairs Cabaret is pretty darn good. Dare I say almost just as good as Sugar and Plan B? Yes. I do.

Oh yeah, a tip to save money in clubs if you didn't drink before you came. Just order a shot of Bacardi 151. That should keep you happy and saves you A LOT (Note: Only if you didn't drink in advance).

Oh and then after the club we watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3! SO GOOD! Oh man, that movie brings back memories of how much I wanted to be a ninja. Yup. We would (as in Me, Raz, and Di) watch Surf Ninjas, Ninja Turtles, and Three Ninjas over and over again when we were kids. Ho yeah!

Come to think of it, there were actually quite a number of movies where my siblings and I could watch again and again when we were kids. I call them my childhood movies. Movies where we know the script like the back of our asses. It's called the back of our asses and not the back of our hands because you know it and you're familiar with it but you don't always see it but when you do you're like "oh yeah i know this!". Hehe. Let's see:

  • Back to the Future 1,2.3
  • Disney's Three Caballeros
  • Spaceballs
  • Robin Hood Men in Tights
  • Surf Ninjas
  • Terminator 2
  • Ninja Turtles 3
  • Three Ninjas 1,2,3
  • Peterpan
  • Hook
I can't really think of much right now but I could say the list of movies above I've probably seen more than fifteen times in my childhood life which on average would mean i'd have seen it A LOT.

But of course there are other new ones of which I have added and this list would be called my adolescent movies. As in, movies i've watched throughout my teenage years and probably will intend to keep watching in my adult years. To name some:
  • City of God
  • Life is Beautiful
  • Harold and Kumar go to White Castle
  • Fight Club
  • Lock,Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
  • Snatch
  • Eurotrip
  • Family Guy The Movie
  • Empire Records
  • Can't Hardly Wait
Oh God, it really took me awhile to think of movies i'd like to keep in my list. Especially for my teenage years. But the ones above are definately some of my major favourites.

Growing up you'll realize that when you watched the movies you liked when you were a kid you may have not understood it as much and then when you watch it again at a mature age you're like "HAHA i totally didn't know it meant THAT when I was a kid but now I do! woohoo!". What an achievement. Hehe.

Oh movies you make me happy. Don't get me started with TV shows! Although, I don't think i've seen that many movies or even TV shows. I'm really the type of person where when I like that movie or show I LIKE IT and will watch it again and again and again instead of trying something new.

Be that as it may, I am still very open to new movies. Always have been and always will be but behind all that openness the love for my favourites will never die. Yet, I have too many favourite movies and it keeps adding up so, yeah. Hehe.

For now, I need to take a shower. AND GOD DAMN STUDY! hehe.

Ciao!

well well well...

Its a Saturday morning and what the fuck do I do? CREATE A BLOG? and my pathetic self dies a little inside. hahaha. okay maybe not die perhaps squeals. But why squeal? because i have so many blogs. Well not so many but I do write bits and pieces of things here and there i.e Friendster, Myspace, MSN Space, and then there was the site i shared with one of my best friends Ili of which Ery will never forgive me for because she (i can't lie) had suggested it before me and ili wanted to make one. DRAMA DRAMA. haha.

Anyways, this blog i must say was inspired by the fact that writing out your thoughts actually makes you think clearly and right now i'm on a role of writing my movie. Yes, i am writing a movie script. NOT A PORNO I REPEAT NOT A PORNO. So what's the movie about? well, currently i'm not going to say anything because i'm afraid that people will think the story is lame. Sometimes i look at myself at an outsiders perspective while reading my writings and go "you are lame!". But yeah, for now, we will call the script X.

Okay next thing i want to put down before i forget. FAQs. These are my very own FAQs made for myself to read for me and refer whenever in doubt. So. Ignore if you want to. Or perhaps you have a question about me that you want to know? scroll on!

1. Do you think you will be writing in this blog often?

Thats a good question, and the answer is most likely every once in awhile depending on my state of mind. I go through phases of which i have nothing to say or think about. So when i go through that there won't be much coming out of me.

2. Do you think this will help you improve your life?

OH MY GOD NAZ DID YOU MAKE THIS QUESTION? HAHA. As a matter of fact i DID make up this question myself. And no, I don't think it will improve my life but it will definetly make me reflect on my personality as a whole. And this is a quick note: Nadzirah Hashim Natt is very in love with herself, therefore likes to look at herself and read things about herself cause she knows she's hot. hehe.

3. Who do you expect will be reading this blog?

I imagine if i told anyone, someone but seeming I don't tell anyone, no one? I don't mind. My thoughts may be too weird for some and boring for others. Nonetheless, like i said this blog is for me cause i love me. hehe.

4. Where are you from?

I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The city that doesn't know how to sleep.

5. Are you working/schooling/doing nothing?

I'm in uni but i'm also doing nothing at the moment. uni is lame. 4 years for a piece of paper is LAME.

6. Do you think you'll still be writing in this blog in 5 years time?

Haha. seriously? NO. but who knows? no, i don't think so. hehe.

7. What's your take on bloggers?

Ergh, bloggers, buggers. I used to think it was the lamest shit on earth. No, really. Write none useful petty info about your lame life on the net? But then I woke up one day and realized the net is a place that won't shut down (UNLIKE YOUR LAPTOP WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY DIE ON YOU. BE WARNED). Knowing this, Its a good way for me to access my writings in the future. So, bloggers, you have redeemed yourselves. I have nothing to say about you. Carry on!

8. Do you think that someday this blog will be famous?

Fuck no! FUCK NO. I ain't Maddox. He is, an interesting character. There are some people out there who write fucking interesting and funny shit. I ain't one of them. I write whatever that comes to mind. And this isn't much of a bitching blog really. It could be. or could not. But getting back to the point, No.

9. Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?

This question is a very important question because EVERYTIME i'm talking to people this question comes up and i have to repeat myself OVER AND OVER and they ask why and crap so. No, I don't have a boyfriend. I am currently in the stage where "I am so full of myself i'll marry me. Who needs to be in relationship? I am my own relationship". So. There. Don't ask me again.

10. Don't you think being a narcissist is not a good thing?

Why not? what's wrong with having interest with one self? What? do we all have to be insecure? Confidence is key. I mean i'm not dissing the insecure. I used to be (and sometimes still can be) insecure too but i think loving yourself before anything else is the best (note: personal opinion) way to go experience life. I mean, at the end of the day we're all going to die anyway. Whether we realize it or not we do things to please ourselves so why not show it? But of course, don't be mistaken with the idea of "show off". loving yourself doesn't mean telling everyone that you are the shit. The concept is: YOU KNOW YOU'RE THA SHIET so don't need to do anything to show it. for example, instead of, "hey i'm wearing this brand from this place at this price, don't i look hot?" you go "I know i'm hot and so i dress hot with whatever that makes me look hot!". Get it? No? Hehe.

So this wraps up my FAQs. I don't have anymore questions about myself for now. I don't know if i'm going to tell anybody about this site. Most likely I will because I love myself and want to tell about how awesome I am. Hehehe. Sounds a little pathetic don't you think? No, it's not cause i am tha shiiieeettt... hahaha.

Ciao!
