First week home

Dear Naz's Fuckspot,

It has been a terrible week since my return home to KL.

I arrived in KLIA to discover I had lost two of my precious baggages which were my nike backpack which has my BABY BANTAL, ENTIRE underwear collection, brand new bikini, and my books!

My heart hurts as I write all this.

What's the second bag you wonder? Well, I am sure you will offer me sympathy for this one: MY LAPTOP BAG.

***
I'm sorry, I burst into tears for a moment there.

What makes all this worst is that I got really sick soon after. I've been bawling my eyes out every single day since I arrived on Tuesday. And these tears are expensive! Not only am I crying for my bags but also for the pain my sickness is giving me. SIGH.

Anyways, bet you're wondering how I lost my two most important bags?

Well, it all started on May 1st at around 11pm. I went to the Evergreen Deluxe check in counter and this is what happpened:

Counter Lady (CL)
Naz (N)

N : (Holding ticket email and passport) Hi.

CL: Can I see just your passport please?

N: (giving a confused face because was wondering why she did not need the e ticket proof but was like, whatever just handed the woman the passport)

CL: (Does the system search thing)

N: Did I manage to get window seats for this flight?

CL: Erm let me see, no, you're on the aisle.

N: Oh, what other seats are available?

CL: I could give you middle seats?

N: Oh umm no thanks the aisle is fine.

CL: Okay. (She sorts out my seat selection and prints out my boarding pass) Here you go. So this is your boarding pass for your next flight and this one is for tonight's flight which boards at this gate straight down there and turn left. (pointing to the direction)

N: Okay.

CL: Okay you can put your bags now.

N: (Starts to pick up colorful bag and puts on scale).

CL: Are the rest of those smaller bags you carry-ons?

N: Erm yeah. I understand I have excess carry on but my friend is coming so i can get rid of one of these bags. Is that okay you?

CL: well, you're only limited to one bag and I am pretty sure they check you when you're boarding . So...

N: Oh, erm I see.

CL: Okay how about you combine all these smaller bags into a bigger bag and i'll consider it as a luggage?

N: What kind of bag?

CL: A plastic one.

N: Is it possible?

CL: It sure is.

N: Okay that would be awesome.

CL: Okay hold on. (she goes off to get the plastic bag and returns soon after)

N: Okay let's see..(I start by putting in my colorful bag into the plastic bag) Should I check this in as well? (pointing at my backpack)

CL: Yes you should because that thing is already considered a bag (pointing at my 4 dozens of Krispy Kreme)

N: Okay (handing her my backpack)

CL: Take what you need only.

N: (Thinking hard) Erm. Hmm. Nah I don't think I need anything. But that black bag there, its a laptop, is it going to be safe?

CL: Oh yeah it shouldn't be a problem.

N: Couldn't I put in the donuts instead?

CL: No I don't think so because by the time it reaches you it would be squashed.

N: Okay then.

CL: ( Starts tying the plastic bag into a knot and uses clear masking tape to secure the surroundings and puts the luggage tag around the knot of the plastic bag) Okay that's settled. Next bag?

N: (I give my big black one and she tags it) Thanks so much.

CL: No problem. Have a good flight.

N: Thanks! (I leave the counter)

***

And THAT ladies & gentlemen, was the last time I saw my bags.

Don't get me wrong, I had SUCH a good flight. EVA Airways Evergreen Deluxe is not bad at all. I slept like 80% of the time! Hehe. But when I got to KL, the loss of my bag made me tear oh SO BADLY.

What I discovered when the baggage started coming out from the conveyor belt was that there was no longer any plastic bag containing all 3 of my bags. I only received my big black bag and my colorful bag. As the conveyor belt stop running I realized I was in deep shit.

By that point my heart was pounding real fast. I hadn't cried yet but by the time I got to the lost luggage department I was so upset that I cried like mad. As the dude asked me to describe my bags I was so blothchy. Hehe.

Anyways, I've done my baggage report and all and and it wasn't good at first. Like, they were taking forever and all that shit. It was really pissing the hell out of me. It looked as though they didn't really believe me and like they also said they weren't going to compensate me especially for the laptop because apparently I'm not supposed to check in valueables. Apparently you're not supposed to check in valueables. The term 'VALUABLE' is overrated. What is valueable to one person may be valueless to another. I could easily say my laptop is valueless and so they MUST compensate me for it or what if I said my Baby pillow was worth A LOT. Would they compensate me for my pillow or laptop? Hmmm. And anyways, EVERYTHING IS valueable to me. If I didn't think it were valueable I would have thrown it away already! IDIOTS.

So anyways, my parents actually told me to make a police report. And so we did. And I think that actually scared the EVA Air people because soon after I found my green and grey bag back! Haha. And they're being extra nice to me. You know, the polic dude was telling us some INTERESTING stories on baggage losses.

There was this one case in KLIA where the people who scanned the check in bags were randomly stealing people's bags. And when they arrested him at his home they found out that he was like a the boss of the check in bag scanner place and had been working for the company for 20 years. He also had two aaccomplices. His home by the way, when raided, was said to look like and I quote "a shop with goods". Wow.

And what's really crazy is that when this happened the President of Malaysian Airport Berhad immedeatly told the cops to not go to the press about this. HA! Assholes! Well, I am telling few of you. SPREAD THE WORD. Be careful man. But I think this is unlikely to happen now in KL for awhile especially since the recent arrest.

Oh yeah. So they found my bag. The one with my Baby in it. I was so happy. SO HAPPY.

So there you go. My first week home has been WHOPPPPAAAAA! God really loves me. Testing me with sickness and sense of lossness. Wow. All in one. At one point I thought to myself, maybe God is trying to tell me to forget technology, forget having a security blanket-type thing and most of all FORGET WEARING UNDERWEAR. Hahaha.

Shit happens man. Yes it does. And when it happens it is the will of Allah.

Sigh.
