A Chilly Story by Nadzirah Hashim

Okay, so I was talking to Rakella the other day and she introduced to me this website called YouthMalaysia.com.

The reason she introduced me to this site was so perhaps I could you know, give some contribution to this site. It seems like a pretty cool idea to me but I am still technically not ready to embark on that journey yet due to some of my somewhat "controversial" posts you know?

But whatever. It's called freedom of speech GOVERNMENT.

Anyways, I went through some of the people's erm, fuckspots and they were pretty interesting. Like this one girl wrote about how much she preferred KL to Melbourne. That's thoughtful.

And then this other dude wrote about what I am about to talk about today!

Warning : Tis' a chilling story. BE WARNED! for spines will shiver and you might not be able to sleep at night...

Nadzirah Hashim Presents:

Nadzirah Hashim's Very Own Theory On How to Avoid Ghosts in a Creepy Hotel (Inspired by thc86's How to Avoid Ghosts in Hotel)

It was early in the morning as Nadzirah arrived Chiang Kai Shek International Airport looking dazed and confused. Her eyes were half open as she looked out window. The plane touched the ground. She looked around to see some people looking out their window. Some were still asleep and some were just reading the morning paper. "One more day and I'm home" she said to herself as she closed her eyes again.

It seemed like only a brief moment and she opened her eyes again to find that the plane was no longer filled with people. In fact, it was completely empty!

"Shit! Where the hell is everybody?" she panicked.

Immediately she got out of her seatbelt and grabbed her belongings scrambling towards the plane's exit. As she rushed out towards the exit she wondered why had none of the stewardesses awaken her to leave the plane. Strange, she thought.

She arrived at the transit counter and no one there seemed to be able to help her. With her dazed and panicked brain everything seemed scattered and unfamiliar. Right that second she wished she spoke Mandarin because everyone there, barely spoke English.

After waiting for several minutes, she finally found a person who could vaguely direct her to where she was to go in order to get to the transit hotel that her flight itinerary had requested her to go to and even with those directions, she still got lost.

Lost, Panicked and Confused she broke down in the middle of the airport crying. Luckily, her best friend's father knew his way around the airport. Irregardless of the time being 5.30 am she phoned Kuala Lumpur for help.

The call was comforting and she found her way to her hotel. "Phew! What a relief" she thought.

****

After what seemed awhile Nadzirah arrived at the hotel that she was to stay in. "Ergh. Old Hotels. Gross" she muttered to herself.

She checked in and took the dim lit elevator to her room.

Because the weather was so hot (well, according to people who hadn't been in the heat for a long time) Nadzirah came in and didn't really notice how dimly lit the hotel room seemed. She went straight for the air condition and put it on full blast, plonked her stuff on one of the two beds and straight away took a shower.

But in the shower, she realized how the toilet looked like a scene from a you-know-something-creepy-is-lurking-here movie. Nonetheless she was just too tired she didn't really care. "Besides, it's daylight. What ghosts come out during daylight?" she said to herself assuringly.

The day went on and nothing happened. Nadzirah spent her afternoon walking around Taipei town. She discovered that it was very polluted and filled with scooters.

She came back to her hotel room that evening feeling absolutely tired and ready to sleep. She was kinda sorta jet lag as well. As dusk came she realized how dimly lit this hotel room seemed to be. "Ergh. Smells old too", she thought.

Minding her own business she lay down on her bed watching the telly. She was about to doze off when suddenly the light by the dressing table started to flicker. Her body felt a sudden wake.

She remembered in that movie Gothika that when the lights flicker it meant a "presence" had arrived. She felt her heart skip a beat. And then she remembered the stories she heard about a particular haunted hotel in Taiwan. Apparently this hotel had crazy incidents happen like a funeral procession would walk right through your bedroom etc etc. And so she immediately assumed without a doubt that this had to be THAT hotel and that she was about to get disturbed.

She didn't really know what to do. She didn't want to start being scared and cry. She could have always recited religious words from the holy Quran but she decided maybe she should do something that might shock the "presence".

STRIP.

Yeah, strip butt naked. Because the "presence" would probably be shocked at a naked girl walking around the hotel room.

At least, that was her logic. And so she did. She eventually fell asleep with the lights and tv on. But she felt safe and secure knowing she was nude on the bed. She felt the "presence" didn't have any reason to disturb a naked person.

The next day all was fine and she took her plane back to KL.

The End.

****

The moral of the story is: When afraid just give it all you got and suprise the thing you're afraid of by doing something unexpected. Chances are it'll all turn out fine. Hehe. This dude ought to insert my naked ghost story in his fuckspot don't you think? :D

Fin.
