Should You Save The World of Fast Food?

The Malaysian government has recently decided that they should ban all fast food advertisements because apparently they think there are just too many obese Malaysians out there.

Truthfully I don't think there are THAT many obese Malaysians out there. Clearly those who say that there are many obese people in Malaysia have not been out to other parts of the world like North America and Europe where the advertising campaign for fast food is even more hardcore and there are definitely more obese people than there are here.

After serious complaints of such an extreme statement such as banning fast food ads won't prevent obesity (which by the way is according to the Managing Director of Mcdonalds Malaysia), the government decided instead of banning the ads they would like to have the ads controlled by not showing the ads during the commercial slots of television shows for children below 12. This hasn't been implemented yet but I bet you Mcdonalds is working in every way possible to prevent this from happening.

But how can Mcdonalds stop the government from implementing this rule?

Well, this is where the Mcdonalds Game comes in place. I'm sure we could learn a thing or two from it. Teehee

Have you guys ever played the Mcdonalds game? I highly recommend it. It's actually a parody of the Mcdonalds organization. But it could be pretty darn close to what happens in reality BUT in a more subtle way that is.

I mean you've got the farm where you keep the cows, the slaughter house where you slaughter the cows and turn them into burgers, the Mcdonalds food outlet where you sell the burgers and finally the corporate office where all the advertising and bribery happens! Yay!

Here are some feature photos for those of you who have never heard of this game!

The song is quite enticing and be warned, it is an addictive game!

Quick Tutorial

Alright alright I bet you're pretty excited now because you know, its definitely something you could do if you're bored (and you probably are) so before I give you the link to the game we have to know the moral of the story which is what boys and girls?

It's going to take awhile before the government will implement this rule because:

a) There will be Mcdonalds and other fast food outlets who will be lobbying against this.
b) I'm almost certain there could be possible bribery towards a politician or health doctor which would slow down the process.
c) There will be a stir in the media by fast food joints to write articles that show fast food is suddenly good for us which will then confuse the general public including the politicians.
d) The government is slow, in general.

Yay!

So go visit this website to play the game and learn how to turn into a money hungry manipulative corporate chump! :)

sometimes i feel that the government can be as hillarious as russell peters. if you nak ban fast food ads you might as well censor all the gruesome photos you see in the newspapers of blown up body bits. because who knows kids might get funny ideas.

oh- and ban roti canai. i swear that thing has more calories than 9 nuggets.
