The All-Over-The-Place Post
I just realized I didn't do my Thursday Ritual last week which was to talk about the What Women Want show and Kutuk Hannah Tan. But you see, I missed most of last week's show so I'm not entirely sure what happened.
Good news though, Hannah wore a red pario! Hehe.
According to my sister she wore white throughout the rest of the show though. Its as though she knew I've been bitching about her constant white outfits that she decided to listen to me and wear a red pario instead of white. Heh.
Even if she did wear a red pario, I recently found a photo of her with Kenny Sia (who is an awesome fuckspotter I might add) wearing yes, you guessed it, white.
Someone needs to alert her that there are other nicer colors in the world other than white. Like, red. or, pink or purple because I think those are the only other color she chooses to wear.
Oh well.
Back to the What Women Want show, the final winner will only be shown this week so i'm definitely staying at home irregardless of my father inviting me to go have ice cream at Swensen's (because that's what happened last week). Yeah I chose ice cream over TV so sue me!
So this week will show the final winner of What Women Want which by the looks of it, will be Hafiz.
Sigh.
And my joyful visionary world of perfectly hot straight men die a little inside.
But seriously I don't care as much anymore because ANTM cycle 7 has started in KL! So What Women Want isn't really what I'm into as much because this season's ANTM is full of drama (i.e Monique and Melrose). And I'm sorry to bitch about you Tyra Banks but YOU ANNOY ME.
See, the thing is, I never used to find Tyra so annoying. Besides the fact that she is full of herself and cannot stop referring to herself even if she doesn't need to, I find her tolerable BUT when I saw this season's house (THE ULTIMATE TYRA HOUSE) I wanted to die. Every single room had photos of Tyra Banks! I mean, WHO DOES THAT?
I mean, I LOVE ME TOO but God woman, have some freaking modesty for Christ's sake! Even Jesus has more modesty than you!
Yuck!
Anyways, I realized my fuckspot is starting to become really bitchy. But I can't help myself! Tyra Banks and Hannah Tan are both crazy people to me! Of course there's Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan but I don't see them on TV so I don't really care!
By now you would have realized I'm starting to look like a Trashy TV Addict.
It's not true. I do watch other serious programs like the news okay? Hehe.
In fact I had written some stuff about current political issues today but it just doesn't mesh well with this current post. But who cares right?
So here's the more serious side of me talking.
I'll begin by saying that the Media Is At It Again AND ALWAYS.
I swear there's no way in escaping the media in exposing the atrocities that has happened around the world these days. It used to be just the major wars and ethnic cleansing but now, global warming too?
Is the world coming to an end?
Whatever. Sometimes I really think the media can be too frightening. They over expose us to such terror giving people the fear of travelling and then taunt us with beautiful exotic looking advertisments of serenity and peace because after all, thats what we all want right? Peace?
What is peace?
Here I go again looking into the dictionary:
Peace is a state of harmony, absent open hostility. This term is applied to describe a cessation of or lapse in violent international conflict; in this international context, peace is the opposite of war. Peace can also describe a relationship between any parties characterized by respect, justice, and goodwill.
More generally, peace can pertain to an individual relative to her or his environment, as peaceful can describe calm, serenity, and silence. This latter understanding of peace can also pertain to an individual's sense of himself or herself, as to be "at peace" with one's self would indicate the same serenity, calm, and equilibrium within oneself.
I know we all say we want world peace but by reading this definition I think we'll never have peace, ever.
There's always some place somewhere with some kind of conflict or some person somewhere not feeling at ease with their mind.
We all want peace, but sadly its unobtainable, until we die.
Then again I have no idea what happens to people when they die so lets not go there.
All in all we should just live in the now and do what we can to help others obtain security in their lives. I think what we humans should have before having peace is security.
Having that safety feeling helps us sleep at night. That's probably a start in having some peace in our minds. Those people in Iraq and Afghanistan are most likely not feeling that safe right now what with the possibilities of someone barging into their house in the middle of the night and shooting them and all (actually, that can happen anywhere in the world but these two countries have a better chance right now).
But how can we have security?
Well, to me, security comes in two forms. The ones you can see and the ones you cannot see. But both of these can definitely be felt.
Material (i.e money, bullet proof vest, security blanket) and Love (I don't think I need to explain this.)
With these two things, we should feel secured Physically and Emotionally.
Some may argue that we only need one of these elements to be secure. That's bollocks. By having no money or bullet proof vest you might just get shot or lose your house or starve to death one fine day.
Yes I agree you might have the best love in the world but its not enough to save you from getting shot (at least in most circumstances that is. I mean, your loved one might take a bullet for you and hey! you were saved by love!).
Be it security in love or money, we all need ideally a balance of it. Too much money still doesn't give a person or a country a peace in their mind.
As for love, well I think not all of us are loved enough out there. And that's why people like Tyra Banks have to keep reminding people about them by putting photos of themselves in a house. Hehe. Without love, we feel insecure, and therefore become unhappy with our lives.
All the money in the world couldn't cure the sickness of love so I guess the harder thing obtain between these two elements is love.
Yes, its hard but the first person we need to love is, yes Tyra got it right. Ourselves.
So step 1 to obtaining security in love which is the easiest is: Love youself.
Moral of the story is: With the media scaring us we'll never have peace in our minds. So maybe we should turn off the telly and technology every once in awhile and get some fresh air don't you think?
You know I'm right. Hehe. So go for it!
