Reflecting Before The Verdict

So our 50th Independence day is a few hours away and I am pretty excited to be at Dataran Merdeka tonight simply because I've never ever been there to celebrate our Independence, ever.

I still haven't bought myself a flag. I should though!

Believe it or not I haven't found a place where they sold one yet. It's like it was everywhere when I wasn't thinking of it but now that I want it it's nowhere to be seen.

Anyhow, I still don't know whether I am truly proud to be Malaysian and frankly am not sure if all this effort would help me figure it all out. But perhaps tonight when I see faces of other Malaysians (and foreigners who want to be Malaysians) gathered together, I will feel something.

We'll see.
